Knife Brands

This is a list of some good knife brands (and some mediocre ones too). Please note that this is my personal opinion of these brands and not everything may be correct. The brand name of a knife is NOT an indicator of quality, but it is a good indicator of price. I will continue updating this chart as I get more knives from these brands. I like to only use brands that I have been buying knives from for a while. Update: I am sorry I am unable to expand the table due to some technical difficulties. Some additional brands to note are Spyderco (I can't believe I forgot them!), Ontario, and Boker.

Benchmade	$$$	Top quality knives. Mostly made of 154CM steel (high quality)
Buck	$$	Made in America if that matters to you!
CRKT (Columbia River Knife and Tool)	$$	Some of these have shoddy steels.
Gerber	$$	Bear Grylls survival knives!
Kershaw	$$	These knives can be excessively heavy.
Smith and Wesson	$-$$	You can get these knives dirt cheap!
SOG	$$-$$$	SOG has some great knives and some um... less great ones.
